SEO & Maintenance Terms & Conditions

1. Service Overview

Our Website Maintenance and SEO packages are designed to help keep client websites secure, updated, and functioning correctly. Services may include website backups, software updates, minor website adjustments, and basic search engine optimisation depending on the package selected.

These services are provided on a best-effort basis and are intended to support the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the website.

2. Website Updates & Adjustments

Maintenance packages may include a limited amount of time for minor website adjustments.

Examples of minor adjustments include:

  • Updating text or images

  • Adding small sections or pages

  • Minor layout adjustments

  • Basic functionality changes

Each package includes a defined amount of time for these updates per month.

For example:

  • Starter package: up to 1 hour per month

Any work exceeding the included time allowance will be billed at our standard hourly development rate.

Major development work, redesigns, or feature additions are not included within maintenance packages unless specifically agreed.

Unused maintenance time does not roll over to future months.

3. Website Backups

We perform scheduled backups depending on the package level (for example weekly or monthly).

Backups are intended to assist with website recovery where necessary. However, we cannot guarantee that backups will always be available or fully recoverable.

Clients remain responsible for maintaining their own backups where possible.

4. WordPress & Plugin Updates

Where applicable, we will periodically update:

  • WordPress core

  • Installed plugins

  • Installed themes

Updates are performed to improve security and stability. However, due to the nature of third-party software, updates may occasionally result in compatibility issues.

Where issues occur, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve them as part of the maintenance service.

5. Website Monitoring & Recovery

If a website experiences technical issues, downtime, or errors, we will make reasonable efforts to investigate and restore the website using available backups or troubleshooting methods.

Recovery services are provided on a best-effort basis and cannot guarantee full restoration in all cases.

6. SEO Services

Maintenance packages may include basic SEO services such as:

  • monitoring website indexing

  • basic on-page optimisation

  • metadata improvements

  • minor technical SEO adjustments.

SEO services provided as part of maintenance packages are not guaranteed to achieve specific rankings, traffic levels, or search engine performance outcomes, as search engine algorithms are outside our control.

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • providing accurate website content

  • ensuring all supplied media and content is properly licensed

  • responding to requests for information or approvals where necessary.

Delays in communication may affect the delivery of services.

8. Service Limitations

Maintenance packages are intended for ongoing website care and minor adjustments.

They do not include:

  • full website redesigns

  • major feature development

  • complex integrations

  • large content uploads

  • major SEO campaigns.

Such work may be quoted separately.

9. Payment & Cancellation

Maintenance and SEO packages are billed on a recurring basis.

Clients may cancel their maintenance package by providing 30 days written notice.

Services will continue until the end of the current billing period.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss including loss of revenue, business interruption, or loss of data.

Our total liability relating to maintenance or SEO services shall not exceed the total fees paid for the services during the previous 12 months.
